Hello to all the users of SamsungImaging products and WB2000 camera out there!

Title: WB2000(TL350) Function 03. Smart Filter

This is me, Amanda! I hope my first two postings helped you to get familiar with the WB2000.

Today’s posting is going to be on the ‘Smart Filter function.’

Wondering what a Smart Filter is?

Often times, I take pictures that are nice but plain.  To give it a unique color or to highlight a certain part, I frequently use editing programs like Photoshop. However, the editing job takes up a lot of time, leaving me disgruntled, but with the WB2000, you can create a photo with your own style very quickly.

The WB2000 offers three Smart Filter functions: Miniature, Vignetting, and Fish-Eye filter.  Let’s take a look at it one by one!

First, the miniature effect makes the objects in the photo appear as if they were miniatures.

This effect is frequently used to shoot a group of buildings or structures that cannot be captured at human height or normal altitude. Setting the function can be as easy as can be.

Turn on the camera and go to Menu.

On the Menu screen, move to the camera icon on the left. The ‘Smart Filter’ function will appear.

Once you have moved to the Smart Filter screen, click on the ‘Miniature’ icon.

The following is the result:

What do you think? Isn’t it cute?

Second, the Vignetting effect darkens the outer sides of the photo in order to turn the attention to the center. It also gives a classic feel to the photo.

Simply click on the ‘Vignetting’ icon on the Smart Filter screen and you are ready! I took the following photo using the Vignetting effect.

Can you see that the photo above has a different feel?

Third, the Fish-Eye filter makes the object appear as if it were viewed through the eyes of a fish. I don’t think I need to go over the steps to set the Fish-Eye filter effect, do I?

Click on the ‘Fish-Eye’ icon on the Smart Filter screen.

This photo was taken using the Fish-Eye effect. The office looks as if viewed using convex lens.

One thing to keep in mind: you cannot use the Face Recognition, Photo Type, and Image Correction effect while you are using the Smart Filter. The Smart Filter function is not activated when any one of these is applied.

I hope my explanation helped you gain a better understanding of the camera. So, this ends my posting on ways to use the WB2000. Of course, the WB2000 offers much more diverse functions then this, not to mention the embedded optical function. I strongly invite you to use the WB2000 to discover its true value!
